Mitra Samei (Dame Macbeth)

Mitra (Dame Macbeth) is an NYC-based Iranian-Finnish-American actor, singer, dancer, thinker, explorer, and shapeshifter who “contains multitudes” and approaches her work with passion, creativity, and fierce originality. Mitra grew up hearing of family members risking their lives to practice art, and understood from an early age that creating and consuming art is a sacred privilege. Mitra longs to embody the radically diverse yet universal experience of being human, on both stage and screen.

Mitra holds a BFA in Drama from NYU Tisch/Stella Adler Studio, where she also completed two musical theatre training programs.

Favorite roles include: Puck in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Stella Adler Studio, and Rona in the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Playmakers Repertory Company SYC.

Wicho Valdez (Lord Macbeth/Witch 3)

Wicho Valdez (Lord Macbeth/Witch 3) is excited to be working with MPSF for the third year! Since the last season Wicho has earned a BFA in Theatre, performed as Quixote in "Quixote Nuevo", and produced "The Importance of Being Earnest" with his performing arts company W.H. Productions. Elias Perales (Witch 2/Murderer 2/Serving Man)

Elias Perales (Witch 2/Murderer 2/Serving Man) is excited to be in his first production with MPFS. He is a San Antonio native and holds a BFA in Performance from UTEP. Recent roles include Matt in Mr.Burns (Blank Conversation Theatre Co.), Flute/Thisbe in A Midsummer Nights Dream (Teatro Neplanta) and Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest (W.H. Productions).

Adan Filigrana (Witch 1/Porter/Murderer 1)

Adan Filigrana (Witch 2/Porter/Murderer 2) is thrilled to make his Madeline Shakespeare Park debut this season! A recent graduate from UTEP with a BFA in Theatre Performance, Adan is excited to bring his passion to the stage. Selected credits include A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Farnsworth Invention, Quixote Nuevo, and Zoot Suit. He extends his deepest gratitude to his wonderful family, friends, and mentors for their unwavering support.

Damian Dena (Banquo/Siward)

Damian Dena (Banquo/Siward) is a born and raised El Paso theatre artist. He graduated from UTEP with a BFA in Theater, and then went on to the University of Arkansas to earn his MFA in Drama. Aside from acting, he has directed, written, taught, and worked with non-profits in the world of theatre. This will be his first MPSF performance.

Rebecca Frost Mayer (Queen Duncan/Lennox)

Rebecca Frost Mayer (Queen Duncan Lennox) serves as the Director of Theatre and Head of Musical Theatre at UTEP. She holds an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BFA from Boston University. Rebecca has worked throughout the United States in cities and rural communities as a theatre artist and educator. Recent directing and choreography credits include Opera UTEP's Halloween Showcase, GREASE (The Dinner Theatre), PLUMAS NEGRAS and POSDATA (UTEP). Rebecca is the Artistic Director of the El Paso Hoofers Tap Dance Ensemble.

Ariyana Anaya (Dame Macduff)

Ariyana Anaya (Dame Macduff) is a recent UTEP graduate who studied Musical Theater. Being Ariyana’s first ever Shakespeare project, she’s thrilled to be playing Macduff in Macbeth. Her previous credits include Acts of Kindness and Plumas Negras at UTEP, as well as Aye No: A Modern Mexican Fairytale in an off-campus production. This marks her first time working with MPSF, and she feels incredibly grateful for everything learned throughout this experience. Ariyana is eager to share this story, this role, and this production with you all. “Thank you for supporting live theater and for joining us on this journey and a big thanks to my family and friends for being my biggest fans. Paulina Galindo (Princess Malcom)

This is Paulina's (Princess Malcom) first time working with Madeline Park Shakespeare Festival. She recently participated in a 5 week intensive in New York and is thrilled to be back in El Paso working with local artists and giving back to her community. She graduated from UTEP with her BFA in Theatre and is currently working on getting into Grad school to pursue her MFA in Theatre. Some of her recent productions include, Fuente Ovejuna as Queen Isabel, Quixote Nuevo as Inez Castillo and The Necklace as Mathilde Loisel. She'd like to thank her family and friends for all their support. Paulina is thrilled to be sharing the stage with her amazing cast and crew!

Lucero Mendoza (Fleance/Doctor)

Lucero Mendoza (Fleance/Doctor) is a local actor and a graduate of UTEP with a BFA in Theater Performance. This will be her first time working with Madeline Park Shakespeare Festival after watching in the audience for the last few years. Lucero is enthusiastic to sharpen her Shakespeare skills and thrilled to be connecting with the El Paso community in such a fun way! Currently, she is preparing to apply to graduate school programs to continue her Theatre training. In her spare time, she helps her sister’s kpop dance cover group Lumanyx (@lumanyxx) as their official videographer.

Daniela Mendoza (Ross)

Daniela Mendoza, aka Dani (Ross) has a BFA in theatre performance from UTEP. Her most recent show she participated in was “The Importance of Being Earnest”. She is excited to be involved in this show because it is a new challenge for her and she really enjoys the story of “Macbeth”! Dani loves any opportunity she receives to perform and connect with the community whether through acting or dance!

Fern M. Trousdale (Stage Manager)

Fern M. Trousdale is a director and stage manager for the Southwest region excited to be back for year three with MPSF. Having worked on Taming of the Shrew and Romeo and Juliet, Trousdale has taken the steps towards becoming a stage director and is honored to have the opportunities to work alongside MPSF and its team. Recent works include Mr. Burns; a post electric play, The Importance of Being Earnest, and will be stage managing I'm Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire in January of 2027. Vanessa Fleming (Associate Stage Manager)

Vanessa Fleming (Associate Stage Manager) is thrilled to be returning to MPSF after working on Romeo and Juliet last year. She is currently a student at UTEP, where she is studying theater with a concentration in musical theater. Vanessa is excited to continue growing as both a performer and theater artist while collaborating with such a talented company. She is grateful for the opportunity to be back with MPSF and looks forward to another incredible season of storytelling and creating meaningful theater.

Reggie Garcia (Costume Designer/Puppetry)

Reggie Garcia (Costume Designer/Puppetry) is a recent UTEP Graduate, with a Degree in Theatre Design and Technology. He is very excited for everyone to see all the great work the he, and everyone else, has put into this production of Macbeth. reggiegarciadesigns.godaddysites.com

rayven armijo (Choreographer)

rayven laticia armijo (choreographer) is an Assistant Professor of Practice in Theatre and Dance at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she teaches choreography, contemporary dance, performance, and interdisciplinary movement practices. She holds an MFA in Choreography from UCLA and has trained at The Ailey School, with a performance and teaching career spanning concert dance, commercial work, K–12 education, international teaching, and higher education. Her creative practice is rooted in Chicana and borderlands perspectives, embodied research, vernacular and contemporary movement, and the body as a site of memory, history, and cultural knowledge. As choreographer for Macbeth, armijo approaches movement as a dramaturgical language, using physicality, rhythm, gesture, and spatial relationships to deepen character, atmosphere, and the psychological world of the play. Her work centers collaboration, rigorous physical storytelling, and the expressive possibilities that emerge when movement and text are developed in conversation across theatrical, cultural, and interdisciplinary performance practices.

Chloe Curtis (Intimacy Coordinator)

Chloe Curtis (Intimacy Coordinator) has a BFA from the University of Texas at El Paso in theatre performance with a concentration in Musical Theatre. She was recently seen in What Once Was: a Holocaust Remembrance Play at the Plaza Theatre. Since graduating she has been given the opportunity to expand her knowledge of theatre outside of just the performance side. She recently designed costumes for a production of Godspell and Romeo and Juliet in Ocala, Florida at the Civic Theatre. And now she is beyond excited to be the intimacy coordinator for this production of Romeo and Juliet. It has been amazing to work with this production team and with this cast. And it has been a gift to tell this beautiful story through its intimacy.

James Steinhauser (Hospitality Manager)

James Steinhauser (Hospitality Manager) decided to retire from acting at the ripe age of 18 with his last performance as the Engel in the Schwerin Waldorf Schüller production of Träume. Throughout James’ life he has tried to be an avid supporter of the theater arts from being a member of the audience to donations to volunteering for local festivals like the Madeline Park Shakespeare Festival! This will be James’ 2nd time volunteering for MPSF and cannot be more excited to be a part of this Scottish-American-Mexican experience.
